Start your exploration from the very heart of Yerevan - Republic Square. Here you will find some of the capital’s most important cultural landmarks: the History Museum of Armenia and the National Gallery of Armenia. From May to October, in the evening, the square transforms into a stage for a spectacular show - the Dancing Fountains, which never fails to attract and amaze visitors. From the square, continue your walk along North Avenue, passing by the popular genre sculpture “Karabala”. At the end of the avenue, you will reach Swan Lake, whose shape resembles that of Lake Sevan. On its shore stands a monument to the famous Armenian composer Arno Babajanyan - another noteworthy cultural highlight. The route continues through numerous interesting and beautiful spots worth visiting, including the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, and the cozy Martiros Saryan Park, home to a picturesque open-air art market. Don’t miss the genre sculpture “The Backgammon Player”, located not far from the Matenadaran named after Mesrop Mashtots - one of the largest repositories of ancient manuscripts in the world. Alongside spiritual and scientific works, it also preserves manuscripts containing some of the oldest Armenian recipes. From here, the path leads to the foot of one of the most beloved places among locals and guests - the Cascade Complex. This unique architectural ensemble is a staircase of 572 steps that houses the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, with exhibitions both outdoors and inside the structure. At the top of the Cascade is the Charles Aznavour Center. Finally, the route concludes with a visit to Victory Park and the Mother Armenia monument, offering an impressive panoramic view of the city.
